Two years ago, a set of guidelines on the distribution of credit-linked structured products issued by Taiwan's regulator, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), pretty much halted the distribution of such investments to investors. What was formerly a thriving market for debt has now turned into one almost solely focused on selling equity-related structured products.
