The road ahead

Structured products in Asia have come a long way since they were first used to reduce funding costs. This year has confirmed that the thriving business is now based around flow products. Richard Jory reports from Structured Products Asia 2007

More than 400 people packed into two rooms for the 2007 Structured Products Asia conference, buoyed by success and hungry for more product. Held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore on December 6 and 7 and co-hosted by Asia Risk and Structured Products, the event was opened by Kola Luu, executive director in the financial markets strategy department at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
