Merrill hires forex derivatives marketer

Jim Crimmins will join Merrill Lynch in New York early in March as a senior foreign exchange and interest rates derivatives marketer. This is a new position, which will "add strength" to the team, said a spokesperson at the bank in New York.

Reporting to head of derivatives solutions, Tim Davenport, Crimmins will cover foreign exchange and interest rate products with duration between two and three years, and assume responsibility for managing credit risk for corporate clients.

He joins from Morgan Stanley in New York, where he was head of the bank's financial strategies group.
