David Schönheit

David Schönheit graduated with a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Managmenet from TU Berlin, with a specializatoin in Energy and Resource Management. His studies included a one-year stay at Davidson College, North Carolina. David was a research associate at the Chair of Energy Economics of TU Dresden from 2018 to 2021 and is currently pursiung his PhD. His research includes capacity calculations for cross-border trade, specifically flow-based market coupling, modeling of energy systems, statistical forecast techniques and interactions between renewable energy and power markets. David has published a number of papers on the topic of flow-based market coupling, e.g. analyses on generation shift keys, congestion forecasts and selection of critical network elements. Further, he was involved in various national and international projects at the Chair of Energy Economics, including research projects with other universities as well as projects for European grid operators.
