IFC And IBRD To Roll Out Summit For VAR And Back Office Processing

TWO affiliates of the World Bank Group -- the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) -- have signed up for Summit Systems' suite of risk management and derivatives trading applications.

Shanker Krishnan, principal financial officer at the IFC, says the implementation will support some 30 to 40 users, roughly half of them based in the back and middle offices.

Krishnan says the IFC uses a number of derivatives to engineer low-cost
