Hedge fund industry looks set to grow as Benelux improves regulations and laws

The Benelux is an economic union within the European Union between Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The name is formed from the beginning of each country's name.

A Benelux parliament was created in 1955. The treaty establishing the Benelux Economic Union was signed in 1958 and came into force in 1960. This promotes the free movement of workers, capital, services and goods in the region.
