Point Carbon launches US power trading product

Point Carbon, an energy and environmental market analyst, has launched its first power trading analytics tool for the North American market.

The web-based platform is a continuation of Point Carbon's Power Market Trader (PMT) series that covers Nord Pool, EEX and APX in Europe. The North American version is for the PJM ISO market from real-time through to the 15-day weather window. It is the first in a series of planned products for the US power market.

It offers a range of services including weather information forecasted from an amalgam of sources, supply information and proprietary forecasts, demand information and proprietary forecasts, price information and proprietary forecasts and transmission information, exclusive to Point Carbon's PMT. It continuously updates in real-time and offers data and forecasts on a single platform.

The company offers transparent methodologies behind all data and forecasts, which are completely downloadable for customers. Users can also call a Point Carbon analyst with any additional questions.
