Entergy Koch enters Spanish power market

“The ability to trade in the Spanish market is a valuable addition to our continental portfolio, where we are active in the more liquid liberalised energy markets in Europe,” said Uday Narang, EKT’s president. “We plan to expand into other European power and gas markets as they open up and become more liquid.”

EKT has continued to invest in its European energy trading business, unlike other US energy companies, such as Duke, Dynegy and Hetco, which have pulled back from the market following Enron’s collapse. EKT presently offers trading services for gas, power and weather trading in the UK, Germany, Holland, France, Belgium and Scandinavia.
