Like shaking off the winter blues, investors are struggling to overcome their concerns about bank credit risk. Despite the billions of dollars of profit that most banks – with honourable exceptions – are now reporting, it is making only a slither of difference to investor confidence. Many seem to look at the banking sector as a whole, and their trust in that group remains brittle or non-existent.
