Eurozone volatility to shake up UK structured product payouts

Structured products in the UK are not immune as the equities market returns to a higher volatility environment on the back of ongoing political and financial uncertainty in Europe, according to industry participants.

“Ongoing eurozone uncertainty could result in above-average volatility going into 2012,” says Sophie Barnett, vice-president of structured products at Morgan Stanley in London. “This will in turn affect the types of structured payout available in the UK market, as different payouts
