S&P tracks Israel energy and telecoms
Israeli equities market now to feature in Standard & Poor's and Harel Financial Group indexes
Index provider Standard & Poor’s has launched a series of sector-specific indexes on the Israeli equities market, in collaboration with Harel Financial Group.
“There are no existing Israeli defined sector indexes in the market,” says Alka Banerjee, vice-president at S&P Indices in London. “The Israeli equities market is robust and has enough depth to be featured in our indexes. We saw this gap and stepped in to fill it.”
