With the direction of markets uncertain and no consensus on the future of interest rates, inflation and a multitude of other financial indicators, Structured Products talked to professionals in Asia, the US and Europe about their views on what 2010 may bring. Richard Jory asks the questions

Structured Products: Which structured products markets will stage the best comeback in 2010?

Philippe El-Asmar, New-York-based head of structured solutions at Barclays Capital: We expect the big certificates market in Germany to see a strong rebound, and we foresee much more activity in Italy, Spain and Portugal. The Swiss market will also see above-average growth, following a consolidation period.

Singapore and Hong Kong look promising because they are the two key wealth management centres
