FTSE expands environmental index series

Index provider FTSE has expanded its Environmental Opportunities Index Series by launching nine new indexes. The series, which was launched in July 2008, is derived from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series and comprises companies with at least 20% of their business from environmental markets and technologies. Constituents are researched by specialist environmental investment company Impax Group.

The nine new indexes comprise the FTSE EO 100, Water Technology 30, Water Technology Benchmark, Renewable Energy 50 Index, Renewable Energy Benchmark, Energy Efficiency 50 Index, Energy Efficiency Benchmark, Waste and Pollution Control 30 Index and the Waste and Pollution Control Benchmark.
