Blue Sky appoints managing director and chief investment officer

Investment boutique Blue Sky Asset Management has appointed James Chu as managing director and chief investment officer, based in London. Chu, who co-founded Blue Sky along with Chris Taylor, chief executive, will work alongside former HSBC Asset Management (AM) colleagues Taylor and Mark Dickson, who is product development and operations director at BSAM.

Before joining Blue Sky, Chu was head of Product and Business Development, Investment and Financial Products at American Express Bank in Asia, where he focused on high net worth customers within the private bank on a global scale. Prior to this, Chu worked as an investment director at HSBC AM where he designed, developed and managed investment funds, including retail and institutional structured products.
