Société Générale reshuffles its Global Equities and Derivatives Solutions Division
Société Générale has made the first move to restructure its global equities and derivatives team, in the wake of the multi-billion euro fraud which led to the removal from the bank of Luc Francois, the former head of global equity derivatives.
When the bank revealed the fraud on January 24, Christophe Mianné was demoted from the position of head of global markets, replacing Francois and reassuming a position he had held until January 2008. In the raft of appointments announced on February 5, and which took effect from February 1, Sofiéne Haj-Taieb was named as Mianné’s deputy.
Haj-Taieb remains in charge of Financial Engineering
