BNP Paribas appoints new EQD strategy head

BNP Paribas has appointed Carl Mason to the new position of head of equity derivatives strategy for the Americas. Mason joins from rival investment bank Morgan Stanley, where he was head of US equity derivatives strategy.

As part of his role, Mason will oversee the US-based equity derivatives strategy team which supplies derivatives trading ideas and analysis to the bank’s institutional clients. Based in New York, he reports to Aaron Ford, head of institutional sales, North America.

Prior to taking up his previous post at Morgan Stanley, Mason was with Deutsche Bank for three years as a senior US options strategist, and with UBS for five years in equity derivatives strategy.
