Olympia nabs Goldman Sachs French sales head

Olympia Capital Management has appointed Laurent Dupeyron in the new role of head of sales, marketing and product development. Dupeyron joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where he was a managing director and had been in charge of sales and marketing of equity structured products for Francophone countries since 2004.

Dupeyron’s position at the fund of hedge funds manager will include handling the firm’s structured product offering. He will work out of both the Paris and London offices and reports to chief executive Marc Landeau, who founded Olympia in 1989.

Dupeyron began his career in equity derivatives at Société Générale in 1993. He moved to the London office of Goldman Sachs in 1996, and then headed the bank’s equities division in Switzerland from 2000. He returned to London to co-head the European equity
