FVC custom indexes
This month we focus on Europe and Japan. There are notable differences and similarities between the monthly performance of the regions’ respective benchmark indexes – the Nikkei 225 and the EuroStoxx 50 – over the past five years. Both peak around April 2007. In the case of the EuroStoxx 50, this peak occurs at the end of a relatively steady climb starting in December 2003. The Nikkei 225 peaks after a period of fairly consistent highs dating back to January 2006.
