Kimmo Soramaki

Kimmo Soramäki is the Founder and CEO of Financial Network Analytics - a software platform that helps regulators and financial institutions gain insights from complex financial data through network analysis and visualization. During the last 17 years, he has worked in both public policy and consulting, and carried out multidisciplinary research at several central banks - including the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He has published in major academic journals in the areas of economics, finance and operations research and is a frequent speaker at industry and academic conferences. Kimmo holds a Doctor of Science in Operations Research and a Master of Science in Economics.

Carlos Leon

As the Research and Development Manager at the Central Bank of Colombia's Financial Infrastructure Oversight Department, Carlos León is responsible for investigating and developing methodologies for comprehensively overseeing local market's financial institutions and infrastructures, currently focusing on the assessment of systemic importance and intraday liquidity risk, and on identifying the connective and hierarchical structure of financial networks. Present interests include network theory, fuzzy logic, fractal theory, portfolio optimization, risk management, and simulation methods. Prior working experience includes positions as Researcher for the Central Bank of Colombia's Foreign Reserves Department and for the Operations and Market Development Department, and Head of the Risk Management Group at Colombia's Ministry of Finance-Public Credit Directorate. He holds a M.Sc. in Banking and Finance from HEC-Université de Lausanne (Switzerland), a M.A. in International Economics and a B.A. in Finance and International Relations from Externado de Colombia University (Colombia). He is PhD candidate at Tilburg University (The Netherlands), working on network analysis for financial stability topics.

Jhonatan Perez

As the Specialized Professional for local markets at the Central Bank of Colombia's Financial Infrastructure Oversight Department, Jhonatan Pérez is responsible for monitoring the activity of local securities markets (corporate and sovereign fixed income, and equity), with emphasis on supporting their legal framework from a central bank's macro-prudential perspective and on assessing systemic risk. Also, he undertakes research projects about issues related to the securities market and their architecture. Present interests include Central Securities Depository´s (CSD) business lines (clearing and settlement, custodian services, securities lending), risk management, network theory and simulation methods. Prior working experience includes positions as Futures Analyst at the Colombian Stock Exchange, as well as trainee at Central Bank of Colombia's Operations and Market Development Department. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia) and specialized courses in network science (Michigan University) and financial markets structure (Yale University), among others.

Seungkin Baek

Seungjin Baek is junior economist of Bank of Korea (BOK) since January 2012. He has worked in Payment and Settlement System department and Monetary Policy & Market department at BOK, and conducted several researches on financial market. Prior to this he worked at Korean Securities Depository (KSD) which is central securities depository of Korea and bond trading department of insurance company. He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Seoul National University.

Jaeho Yoon

Jaeho Yoon is the manager of Bank of Korea. He is overseeing the FMI's operational risk and monitoring the BOK-wire+ system at the moment. During the last 15 years, he has worked in IT security domain and carried out multidisciplinary research at several government agencies - including the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and Financial Security Agency (FSA) in Korea. He is the author of RFC 4162, 4196, 4269. Jaeho Yoon holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering.
