Anastasia Shcherbakova

Anastasia Shcherbakova is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Finance and Managerial Economics in the Naveen Jindal School of Management, at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is the founding director of the Jindal School's new graduate and undergraduate degrees in Energy Management. Professor Shcherbakova is an applied economist, specializing in energy economics, market regulation, and energy and financial risk. She conducts empirical research on energy finance, regulation, and risk management. Her research has been published in a number of peer-reviewed energy, environmental, and economic journals. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in energy economics and energy finance. She has presented several seminars at international conferences, academic institutions, and professional energy associations. Professor Shcherbakova holds a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a B.A in Economics from Knox College. Prior to her appointment at UT Dallas, she was Assistant Professor of Energy Economics at Penn State University's Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering.

Andrew Kleit

Andrew Kleit is Professor of Energy and Environmental Economics and MICASU Faculty Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University. He is the Founding Chair of the Energy Business and Finance Program, the largest undergraduate major in Penn State's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. He directs Penn State's program in energy land management, the first energy land management program in the eastern United States to open and be accredited by the American Association of Professional Landmen. He is a member of the Education Advisory Board of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. Professor Kleit is the author of over 70 refereed academic articles, including publications in the Journal of Law and Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Health Affairs, Health Economics, Journal of Regulatory Economics, Resources and Energy Economics, Energy Studies Review, and The Energy Journal. He is the author or editor of five books, including Electricity Restructuring: The Texas Story (2009), and Electric Choices: Deregulation and the Future of Electric Power ( (2006). His most recent article, "Contingent Efficiency in Natural Gas Leases," is forthcoming in the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. Professor Kleit has a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University, and a B.A. from Middlebury College in mathematics and political science. Prior to becoming an academic, Professor Kleit was Economic Advisor to the Director, Bureau of Competition, Federal Trade Commission, and Senior Economic Adviser to the Director for Investigation and Research (the chief antitrust official in Canada).

Bagas Dhanurendra

Bagas Dhanurendra is a management consultant in KPMG's Operations Advisory practice. He has experience in business transformation, procurement, asset development and strategy execution, across financial services, healthcare and natural resources sectors. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with honors and high distinction from Pennsylvania State University, and was a Chevron Scholastic Award winner.
