Conduct is perceived as a risk class in its own right and needs to be defined accordingly, the OpRisk Europe conference in London heard yesterday. Huw Howell, global head of operational risk management at Nomura, told delegates that the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) should work with the operational risk community to help deal with the issue of conduct risk.
