We live in uncertain times, although the present is admittedly no more uncertain than some other periods. In their book, Robert Bruner and Sean Carr take us on a tour of one of those periods of uncertainty: the panic of 1907. This was a time of great upheaval in the US, similar in some ways to our own time, the authors tell us.
