Association still faces licensing overhaul as part of pending settlement

Isda had pledged to help the CFTC on name give-up

The International Swaps and Derivatives Association looks set to escape a promise it made last month to support changes to the practice of post-trade name disclosure in swap markets, after US regulators shelved plans to act on the issue.

The pledge is part of an attempt to settle claims that Isda and 10 of the world's largest swap dealers conspired to shut down competition from credit default swap (CDS) trading platforms in 2008 and 2009. The settlement document – filed at the US District Court
