Central counterparties have been invited to join the Isda credit determinations committees – but they will not have a vote

Central counterparties (CCPs) have been invited to join the International Swaps and Derivatives Association credit determinations committees as observers, to ensure they are fully prepared for any operational complexities that might be associated with a particular credit event.

With the push to central clearing of standardised over-the-counter derivatives, it has become imperative to keep clearing houses in the loop over the decisions made by the determinations committees, explained Athanassios
