Banks departs BNP Paribas

BNPP's global head of forex and local market sales left the bank last week and is expected to leave the industry altogether after 24 years

Clive Banks, global head of foreign exchange and local market sales at BNP Paribas in London, has left the bank.

It is understood he is leaving the banking sector altogether to pursue personal business ventures. The departure comes less than a year after Banks was promoted to the newly created sales role in September 2010. He reported locally to Arne Groes, global head of fixed-income sales.

Together with Eric Auld, global head of foreign exchange trading, Banks managed the forex franchise
