SEC appoints new RiskFin director

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Craig Lewis as chief economist and director of the Risk, Strategy and Financial Innovation division (RiskFin), effective from next month. He replaces acting director Jonathan Sokobin, the division's deputy director, who took over on an interim basis after the previous director, Henry Hu, left the agency in January 2011.
