FSA names risk and IB advisers

UK regulator recruits outside advisers on risk and investment bank oversight.

Simon Prior-Palmer and Robert Stansbury have joined the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) as senior advisers. Both men will work within the FSA chief executive's office – Prior-Palmer will advise on investment banking regulation and Stansbury on risk management.

Prior-Palmer was previously a commissioner at Postcomm, the UK's postal regulator, and between 1996 and 1998 was head of UK investment banking at Credit Suisse.
