Deutsche names new North American global markets head

Jeffrey Mayer has joined Deutsche Bank in New York as head of global markets for North America. He will report to the head of the corporate and investment bank, Anshu Jain, and replaces Fred Brettschneider, who left earlier this year to start up the Libre Max hedge fund in New York.

Mayer was previously executive chairman of fixed income, currencies and commodities, and head of complex structured products at UBS. He joined UBS in 2008 as joint head of global fixed income, taking over sole
