Deutsche picks Byrne as European distressed trading head

Deutsche Bank has appointed Stephen Byrne as European head of distressed trading, where he will be responsible for leading growth of the par, high-yield and distressed platform. Byrne is to be based in London and will report to Gavin Colquhoun, head of European distressed products.

Prior to his appointment, Byrne was co-head of European high-yield and public loan trading at Goldman Sachs, spending the last five years working in Europe on the bank's leveraged loan-trading platform.
