SunTrust Banks recruits new senior vice-president

SunTrust Banks has appointed Jerome Liehard to the newly created position of senior vice-president of strategic finance and administration. Based in the US bank's headquarters in Atlanta, Liehard will report to chief financial officer March Chancy.

Liehard is currently SunTrust's treasurer. He will be replaced in this role by Aleem Gillani, the bank's chief market risk officer. Liehard and Gillani will take up their new roles on April 1.
