Robert Scott named as NYSE Euronext director

Robert Scott, a former president and chief operating officer (COO) at Morgan Stanley, has joined the board of directors of NYSE Euronext. Scott will also serve on the exchange company's audit committee.

Scott retired as president and COO of the bank in December 2003, after two years in the post, but remains a director. Before becoming COO in 2001, he was chief financial officer, taking the role after the 1997 merger of Morgan Stanley and the brokerage firm Dean Witter.
