New head of Asian equities trading at Citi

Joseph Chang has joined Citi Global Markets, the brokerage and securities arm of Citigroup, as head of Asian equities trading, excluding Australia and Japan.

He will be responsible for the bank's cash equities and derivatives trading across 16 Asian markets. He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Adrian Faure, head of equities for Asia.

Previously, he was co-head of Asian equities at HSBC. He spent nine years between 1997 and 2006 at Merrill Lynch, where he held the position of head of derivatives trading for the Asia-Pacific region.
