DrKW recruits London-based credit derivatives flow trader

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), the investment banking arm of Germany’s Dresdner Bank, has hired Paul Lewitt as director and head of credit derivatives flow trading based in London. The London hire follows a ramp-up of DrKW’s credit derivatives operations in the US and Asia.

Lewitt joins from WestLB, where he was co-head of credit derivatives. He has previously worked in the derivatives businesses at Bank of Montreal and JP Morgan.

Lewitt will report to Javier Martin-Artajo, head of credit derivatives trading. “Lewitt’s appointment marks an important step towards consolidating the significant growth of DrKW's credit derivatives business,” said Martin-Artajo.

DrKW hired two ex-Gen Re staff, Kevin Stocklin and Robert Wolff, to boost its credit derivatives team in New York in May. It recruited Michael Gordon as director of credit derivatives trading in Tokyo in February and Rick Weinstein as head of credit derivatives - a newly created position - in January.
