Forex forwards head leaves Citigroup

Vincent de Lorenzo, head of foreign exchange forwards trading at Citigroup in New York, left the bank earlier this month, a source at Citigroup told RiskNews' sister publication, FX Week .

De Lorenzo had worked at the bank for about 11 years. He is expected to emerge at Bank of America (BoA) in New York as global head of forex forwards trading, although a spokesperson for that bank declined to comment.

A senior forex official at Citigroup in New York said the bank had not yet decided who would replace him. Meanwhile, Tony Barca joined BoA in New York on May 10 as a senior euro/dollar trader, a senior forex official confirmed. He reports to Steve Nutland, head of forex trading for North America.

Barca left HSBC where he also traded spot euro/dollar. He had worked there for about three years. Prior to that, he held a foreign exchange trading role at Deutsche Bank.
