Henderson Global Investors, a subsidiary of the Australian Mutual Provident Society (AMP), has selected Xenomorph to provide risk management for derivatives support across a range of investment products.Simon Stratford, global IT director at Henderson, said Xenomorph’s easy integration and sophisticated pricing models were the main reasons for awarding the London-based risk management company the contract.
“It [Xenomorph] provides a platform that supports Henderson’s derivatives investment management and increases confidence in a tightly risk-controlled environment,” said Stratford.
Xenomorph specialises in data warehousing applications, derivatives trading and risk management support for investment banks. Its clients include Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Rabobank, ING, Commerzbank Securities and DZ Bank. Its London-based hedge fund clients include Arbiter Fund Management, Litchfield Capital Management and London & Oxford Capital Markets.
“There is a growing demand from asset management companies to capture risk exposure for a diverse product range,” said Brian Sentance, managing director of Xenomorph.
Canadian-based analytics specialist Financial CAD provides analytical support as part of the Xenomorph service.
