New cash CDO head at CSFB

Credit Suisse First Boston has promoted Greg Richter to co-head of its New York cash collateralised debt obligation (CDO) business, part of a wider restructuring of its CDO operations.

Richter joins David Thompson as co-head of cash CDOs, while retaining his existing job as head of asset finance. Thompson, meanwhile, will retain responsibility for synthetic CDOs. Richter will focus on origination and distribution, while Thompson will be primarily responsible for risk management and structuring.

Reporting to Richter and Thompson will be Jerry DeVito, in charge of cash CDO structuring, and Frank Hager and Clayton Perry, co-heads of CDO distribution. The secondary cash CDO trading team (Dave Barrish and Mike Kurinets) will move to join the other securitised product trading teams, reporting to Mike Marriott. No other changes have been made.
