ABN Amro expands FX options team

Dutch investment bank ABN Amro has added three traders to its global foreign exchange options business.

Gaurang Chadha joins the bank from AIG, where he traded options. Previously he worked for JP Morgan as a currency options trader in London and Singapore. Chadha will be based in Amsterdam and his role will involve expanding the bank’s yen forex options business.

Terence Yiu is set to head the bank’s forex options business in Singapore. He was previously an options trader with Standard Chartered Bank. ABN Amro said his appointment is in line with the bank’s strategy to efficiently align its trading of forex products in Asia, concentrating on non-G20 trading in Singapore and G20 trading in Sydney.

In Chicago, Raj Tewari joins ABN Amro from Goldman Sachs. Previously he traded derivatives for Citibank.

At the end of March, ABN Amro announced it was closing its US cash equity and mergers and acquisitions business with the loss of approximately 550 jobs.
