Cairn Capital adds asset-backed specialist

Cairn Capital, a London-based advisory and investment firm specialising in structured credit, has hired Jenna Collins as an analyst. Collins, who will join Cairn in November, was an asset-backed securities analyst at Merrill Lynch in London.

Collins will be looking at ABS and collateralised debt obligations for Cairn as well as assisting in portfolio construction, according to Paul Campbell, portfolio manager at Cairn.

In August, Cairn hired Tim Frost, JP Morgan’s former European head of credit sales, trading and research. The firm has already transacted a few private collateralised debt obligations and has mandates for structuring and managing future deals. A credit hedge fund and a long-only traditional credit fund are also in the works.
