Lehman raids BNP Paribas’ credit team

Lehman Brothers has taken three new credit strategists from BNP Paribas. The US firm has made Alan Capper chief strategist, along with David Brickman, and named Gregory Venizelos as a research analyst. They will be London-based, reporting to John Wilson, head of European research.

Capper was head of credit portfolio strategy at BNP Paribas, where he ran the credit strategy team that included Brickman and Venizelos.

Their appointments follow Barclays Capital’s poaching of Lehman’s senior credit strategy team in July this year. Robert McAdie, appointed head of global credit strategy at Barclays, was joined by Mahesh Bhimalingam and Puneet Sharma.

Wilson said the new additions represented “a formidable addition" to Lehman’s credit franchise.
