Barcap hires director of corporate risk management from UBS

Barclays Capital has appointed Jonathan Shiff, a former director of fixed-income derivatives at UBS, as a director in its corporate risk management team in New York.

Shiff will be responsible for the development and marketing of structured derivatives products, and will report to Ed Somekh, head of corporate risk management and derivatives.

“Jonathan’s knowledge of the derivatives markets and products will complement our growing US franchise,” said Somekh.
