Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown hires investment-grade bond traders

Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, the US investment banking arm of Deutsche Bank, has added to its integrated credit trading group by hiring Michael Wheeler and Alex Marx as senior investment-grade bond traders.

Wheeler, who will trade the industrials sector, joins from JP Morgan Chase, where he had worked since 1999 in a similar role. Marx had spent five years at Morgan Stanley, where he worked in trading and origination in the firm’s New York and London offices. He will trade the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Both report to Mark Jicka, head of investment-grade credit trading in the Americas.

Meanwhile, Barish Celik has joined Deutsche Bank as an investment-grade asset swap trader. Celik previously worked for Lehman Brothers trading investment-grade convertible bond asset swaps and structured credit. He reports to Ross Taylor, head of Deutsche Bank’s New York asset swaps trading desk.
