Moody's KMV launches RiskCalc Germany

Moody's KMV has launched a new German version of its RiskCalc credit assessment software.

RiskCalc 3.1 is intended to allow credit professionals at corporations and financial institutions to assess counterparty risk accurately.

The San Francisco-based credit risk specialist said the new software will provide more accurate default probabilities, easing the switch to Basel II accounting rules. It also provides stress test graphs and relies on a larger database of company records and previous credit events - 200,000 statements from more than 43,000 German companies.
