Alan Burnell, head of European swaps and government bond trading at Barclays Capital, is leaving the bank to set up a hedge fund.A veteran trader, who worked at Deutsche Bank before joining Barclays, Burnell is aiming to raise a total of $1 billion from investors.
Barclays will invest $250 million of its own capital in Burnell's fund.
