HSBC has promoted Andrew Brown to global head of foreign exchange, a new position.
Brown was previously head of foreign exchange for Europe and the Middle East. In his new London-based post, he will report to Michael Powell, the bank's head of global markets.
Brown now has three heads reporting to him: Ben Welsh, head of FX in the Americas; Jason Keg, head of Asian currency FX; and Edward Carmichael, head of Asia-Pacific spot FX.
