ANZ makes four markets appointments

ANZ Investment Bank has announced a series of new additions to its markets team in Europe and New York. The appointments follow the hiring of Bill Wulkan as head of markets, Europe and America, in May last year.

Simon Hughes joins the London office as head of capital markets sales in Europe, following his previous role as director of the dollar bloc, Europe and Americas at Deutsche Bank.On the trading side, Stewart Morton also joins ANZ in London as head of Group of Four spot trading and deputy head of foreign exchange spot trading. He was previously with ABN Amro in London as director of the forex leverage/proprietary trading desk.Antony Bowyer completes the new appointments in London, joining as assistant director of structured credit products. The move is internal, with Bowyer coming from the bank’s Singapore office where he was associate director of securitisation.In New York, Charlie Lachman has been appointed head of North American markets. Lachman’s appointment is also an internal move – he was most recently director of global syndications in New York and senior vice-president of ANZ Securities. In addition to his new role, he will continue to be responsible for ANZ’s New York syndications business.
