MarketAxess appoints new president

MarketAxess, the New York-based trading technology firm, has appointed Kelley Millet as president.

Millet has left Bear Stearns, where he was co-head of global credit trading. He starts immediately, taking the post previously held by chairman and chief executive Richard McVey.

Paddy Turner, MarketAxess’ European sales manager, said that Millet had been brought in to expand and diversify in North America. He also said that relinquishing the post would give McVey, who remains as chairman and chief executive, more time to focus on business outside the US.
