ABN Amro creates new global head of rates research role

ABN Amro has appointed Graham McDevitt to the new role of global head of rates research in the bank’s financial markets business. McDevitt was previously head of credit strategy.

He will head a team of 21 researchers and report to Sarah Russell, global head of financial markets research. ABN Amro said his remit will be to maximise the alignment of bond, agency, pfandbriefe and relative-value strategy disciplines for global clients.

“Graham is well qualified to maximise their alignment for the benefit of our global institutional and corporate clients,” said Russell.

Russell added that McDevitt will work closely with the investment-grade credit and foreign exchange research teams to “optimise synergies across these asset teams”.

McDevitt was head of bond strategy at BNP Paribas before he joined ABN Amro in 1999.
