Barclays Capital makes senior credit sales appointment in New York

Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of the UK’s Barclays Bank, has hired John Lovisolo as a managing director in its North American credit derivatives and structured product sales team.

Lovisolo joins from Deutsche Bank where he was head of marketing for North American structuring following a stint in its global relative value team.

Based in New York, he will report to John Stathis, head of distribution for the Americas at Barclays Capital. “John's appointment continues the build of the client-focused credit derivatives and collateralised debt obligation franchise that offers custom solutions to the firm's institutional clients," said Stathis.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Lovisolo traded and marketed structured notes at Blackhawk and Bear Stearns.
