Credit Suisse reorganises to promote structured retail products

Credit Suisse has launched a new structured retail products (SRP) platform as part of a global retail initiative that aims to integrate equity and fixed-income retail products.

Jean-Manuel Dersy, managing director, will head the structured retail product group, which is designed to enhance the bank's existing coverage and platform for delivering retail products to its institutional client base.

In Europe, Ariel Benin will head the SRP group for France, Benelux and Spain, reporting to Savady Yem. Bodo Gauer and Bjorn Storim will head the SRP group in Germany and Austria, reporting to Christian Porath. Federico Foca will head the SRP group for Italy, reporting to Vito Elia and Guido Filippa. Mufid Shawwa will head the SRP group for the Middle East, Greece, Cyprus, Poland and Portugal, reporting to Adel Afiouni. John Paul Booth will head the SRP group for UK/Ireland and Nordics, reporting to Jerome Henrion. All European SRP members will report to Adam Habib in addition to their respective country heads. Meanwhile, Grace Koo will expand her current equities derivatives marketing role to include management of the SRP team in North America. Koo will report to Rob Griffith for the fixed-income portion of the SRP initiative. Her equities reporting lines will remain unchanged.

Adam Cowperthwaite will lead the initiative in the Asia-Pacific region. He will report to Kurt Ersoy and Alister Moss for Asia (excluding Japan) and Australia, and Kurt Ersoy and Carsten Stoehr for Japan.

In Latin America (excluding Brazil), the SRP marketing effort will be undertaken by the existing fixed-income Latam financial institutions coverage group and will report to Pedro Beroy and Koo. In Brazil, SRP marketing will be undertaken by the existing fixed-income Brazil financial institutions coverage group.

Dersy will report to Jeremy Bennett, co-head of Credit Suisse's European fixed-income department and head of structuring, and Chris Carter, co-head of European equities, head of European equity trading and head of equity derivatives sales, trading and structuring.
