BNP hires two in hedge fund equity finance sales

BNP Paribas has filled two new positions on its European team selling equity finance to hedge funds.

Mike Murphy and Yves-Francois Brogard join David O’Flynn, who has been working on the area with BNP for a year. Murphy has left Deutsche Bank in London, where he worked in equity finance sales. Brogard has also moved from Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for selling prime services to hedge fund clients.

Murphy heads the team, which will be based in London. He reports to Eric Deudon, head of equity finance and prime brokerage, and flow sales head Denis Frances.

Remi Frank, head of equities and derivatives sales, said the appointments would help BNP further develop relationships with hedge funds.
